On the evening of February 3, Vinh Thai Commune Police (Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri) announced 27 pages of statements of the total amount of money donated by the community nationwide to support a poor woman who lost money while shopping for Tet, which went into the personal account of the head of Vinh Thai Commune Police, which was more than 160.8 million VND.

Vinh Thai commune police said this was "something beyond the imagination of the commune police force and Ms. Hoa's family".

The transfer messages all come with cute, heartwarming wishes sent to the family of the poor woman who lost the money, such as "wishing Ms. Hoa good health", "wishing your family a happy Tet", "Ms. Hoa's family a warm new year", "thank you for Ms. Thuy's kindness", "I'll just transfer this much to Ms. Hoa. I feel so sorry for you"...

Of which, the unit sent 6 million VND to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (55 years old, residing in Tan Mach village, Vinh Thai commune) on the afternoon of December 29.

"The remaining amount, Vinh Thai Commune Police will closely coordinate with the family and the Front, and the superior police to concretize with specific actions and plans.

Once again, we would like to appreciate all the affection of people from all over the country sharing their hearts so that Ms. Hoa and her family can have the warmest and most peaceful Tet ever!", wrote the social networking site of Vinh Thai Commune Police.

As soon as the statement was announced, social networks were "in turmoil" with the efforts and dedication of the police force.

One account expressed: "Very happy and extremely grateful to the police force of Vinh Thai commune for being so enthusiastic, dedicated to the people, handling the work so quickly, and spreading it so quickly."

Previously, on the afternoon of January 27, Ms. Le Thanh Thuy (42 years old, residing in Tan Mach village) found 1.5 million VND and brought it to Vinh Thai commune police to hand over.

The money was wrapped in a piece of torn student notebook paper, with two lines of notes stating the contents of the Tet market trip including "bananas + areca nuts, betel leaves, vegetables + 10kg of sticky rice".

On the night of January 27, Vinh Thai Commune Police went to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa's house and determined that she was the person who lost the money, so they returned it.

The commune police also posted a short post with a video about Ms. Hoa with her simple, rustic story and her house on social media. On New Year's Eve, thousands of messages and calls poured into the phone number of the commune police chief Hoang Ngoc Minh, sharing their condolences with Ms. Hoa.

Receiving great attention from everyone, Ms. Hoa shared: "This is the happiest Tet of my life. I lost money and the police returned it, and now I have received more money. Now my grandmother and I are less miserable and less worried. I thank everyone very much."
