Ready for the provincial-level folk dance performance

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan Province (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), members and women in the province are actively practicing to prepare for the "Ao Dai - Folk Dance" performance, the largest ever in the province. The activity will take place at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Phan Thiet City) at 6:00 a.m. on April 26.

During these days, despite the hot weather, 570 members and women selected from folk dance groups and teams in 10 districts, towns, cities and armed forces in the province are still enthusiastically practicing day and night to prepare for the most beautiful and consistent performance day. In which, each district, town and New Generation Women's Union (WU) and the New Generation Women's Club will participate from 16 to 20 people, with 300 people from the Phan Thiet City Women's Union alone... The women will show off their folk dance talents through sample songs: Medley "Spring Country" (including the songs "Spring Country" and "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City"); "Saigon Girl Carrying Ammunition" and "Song of New Rural Construction". On the vibrant background music, the exercises created a ripple effect, arousing the responsibility to preserve, promote and conserve the value of the Ao Dai - traditional costume, dynamism, aspiration for innovation, creativity, self-reliance, self-improvement, strong and sustainable development.

Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Mai - President of Duc Linh Women's Union said: As soon as the Provincial Association had a plan for the folk dance performance program, the District Women's Union immediately deployed it for 100% of the Association's units to practice and chose Dong Ha commune to participate at the provincial level. After nearly 2 months of practice, the women have memorized the lesson and are confident to have a beautiful performance.

Although it is a new subject, folk dance has a strong influence, attracting a large number of members, from young people to the elderly. Ms. Phan Quynh Hoa - 68 years old this year, is still enthusiastically practicing with the Phu Tai Ward Folk Dance Club, sharing: The ward's folk dance team has 16 members participating in this performance. Most of the members are older, so approaching new songs will be more difficult, but everyone tries, focusing fully both in the evening and morning to practice. Everyone is eagerly waiting for this big event.
