Denmark's Jacob Sommer Simonsen completed the 21.09km stroller course at the 2023 Aarhus Half Marathon in 1 hour 8 minutes 4 seconds.
Simonsen competed with his one-year-old son Viggo in a stroller. The father and son duo made history at the 2023 Aarhus Half Marathon, with Simonsen setting the record for the fastest half marathon with a stroller in 1 hour 8 minutes 4 seconds.
Simonsen broke the old record by 34 seconds, set by compatriot Andreas Lommer at the 2019 tournament with a time of 1 hour 8 minutes 38 seconds.
Simonsen posted pictures and results from the 2023 Aarhus Half Marathon on Instagram, writing: "A fun day running with Viggo. World record for Viggo and great result for me."

Cal Neff, who holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon with a stroller by a man at 2 hours 32 minutes 21 seconds, commented: "It's great to see records being broken. Passing the torch from one speed dad to another."
Simonsen also holds the Danish record for the beer mile, clocking in at 5 minutes and 18 seconds. The beer mile is a one-mile (1.6 km) beer-drinking race. The race is typically a 400-meter race over four laps. Each runner must drink a 12-ounce (355 ml) beer before each lap, for a total of four.
The world record for the beer mile belongs to Corey Bellemore, a Canadian runner who won his third world championship on October 23, 2021 with a time of 4:28.1. He broke his own record of 4:33.6 set in San Francisco in 2017.
Last year, another record involving running with a stroller was broken at the High Street Mile in Newburyport, Massachusetts, USA. Ruben Sanca, with his five-year-old son Greyson in a stroller, set a record for a mile (1.6km) with a time of 4 minutes 32.2 seconds. The previous record was 4 minutes 41.83 seconds, held by Taylor Huseman and his daughter in Irvine, California on March 8, 2022.
