Leaving Da LAB, how is the leader of Cao now?

(Dan Tri) - Leader Cao announced his departure from Da LAB at the end of September, leaving many viewers regretful.

Recently, the former leader of Da LAB - MPaKK (Cao) - released the MV Em a em oi, in collaboration with JGKiD (Thom). This is a song that Cao and Thom composed and performed back when they had no intention of leaving the group.

From Thom's initial short verse, the two completed this song together. Rapper Cao personally took charge of music production for the song.

Dear, dear, dear is written about the feelings of a man who, after many years, looks back on an unfinished love. Memories and beautiful memories suddenly come flooding back, making him nostalgic and regretful of the past, but in middle age, he chooses to face it gently, no longer obsessed.

The song is like a gentle confession of Cao and Thom to their ex. The song has a slow rhythm, expressing the characters' sad and anxious mood.

The MV Em a em oi was made by director Khoi Nguyen - who has been in charge of many Da LAB projects before. In the MV, Cao did not participate in acting but let two contemporary dancers perform. Through this, the director wanted to portray the emotions in the song through body language.

Sharing about the song, the former member of Da LAB said: "At the age of U40, it's reasonable that I often think. I have had many experiences and conclusions, and can draw conclusions about some things. Or there are things that have come to a point where there's nothing more I can do, so I start to accept them. I don't regret the decisions I've made, but I regret the good things that are still there."

Em a em oi is included in Cao's first solo EP (extended play) since breaking up with Da LAB. The EP has 4 songs: Loops (feat. GDucky), Em a em oi (feat. Thom), What is happiness (feat. nan), Close your eyes, my shadow is gone (feat. Shun, Van Lii).

In it, Loops is a satire of rapper Cao himself, when he had to face his inner conflicts while working with Da LAB. Becoming the leader of the "national music group", with a large fan base, but sometimes Cao feels that his work is gradually falling into a boring loop.

Collaborating with many other artists in his personal EP, Cao is not afraid of losing his appeal. He said he feels a spiritual connection and musical compatibility with each artist he collaborates with.

Launching a music project with many personal thoughts, Cao shared that he has been used to facing concerns for the past 20 years. And now, when he has clearly determined and is confident in the direction he has chosen, the thing that worries the male rapper the most is the financial issue.
