At the launching ceremony, the leaders of Phu Thuan commune called on all fishermen to actively go out to sea, stick to the fishing grounds, focus on investing in improving offshore fishing capacity and fishing effectively to increase productivity and the highest output, constantly improve living standards, and strive to reach 4,000 tons of total output. Exploiting the potential of the marine economy must be associated with protecting aquatic resources and protecting sovereignty and security at sea, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the local socio-economic targets and plans for 2025.

In recent years, Phu Thuan commune has mobilized fishermen to actively stick to the sea, fish far from shore, and invest in increasing exploitation capacity. Up to now, the whole commune has over 200 means of exploitation and fishing; including 49 offshore fishing boats. The commune has 10 boat solidarity groups, 2 offshore fishing federations, 1 nearshore fishing association and 1 lagoon fishing association; 1 platoon of maritime militia. In 2024, the marine exploitation output of Phu Thuan commune will reach 3,796 tons.

The first fishing festival of the year is not only a traditional cultural activity of fishermen in coastal areas but also creates a competitive atmosphere among fishing fleets, motivating fishermen to set out to catch and achieve the set targets in 2025.

After the launching ceremony, local fishing boats simultaneously set sail, starting a new fishing season; sticking to the sea, developing the economy and joining hands to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
