Writer Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh was born in 1964 in Hanoi. He is widely known as a successful businessman in the transportation business. In the field of literature, he was formally trained in literary composition at Nguyen Du Writing School (course 5, 1993-1997).

His literary career began with a series of well-known prose works such as: "The Human Realm" (novel, 1994), "The Golden Apple of Obscenity" (short story collection, 1996)...
From 2018 to now, he has published 5 poetry collections; two of which have just been released. Both poetry collections released to readers this time are written in the six-eight verse form, in which the poet has emphasized the words with artistic value , making them the highlight of the verse.
The poetry collection “Dong Sen Tan” includes 108 six-eight poems, divided into 3 parts: Part 1 “Dong Sen Tan” includes 36 six-eight poems written about the lotus season; Part 2 “Mua Tua” includes 36 six-eight poems written about the crocodile flower season; Part 3 “Thanh June” includes 36 poems written about June. The poetry collection “Mother” selects 36 six-eight poems written about the human Mother.
Writers and researchers attending the launching ceremony emphasized: Almost every verse of Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh is suggestive, can be appreciated, analyzed, discussed, and commented on. This shows that the author is conscious of seeking to innovate the words, avoiding the situation of monotonous six-eight verses lacking highlights.
Hopefully, with his innovations, author Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh will breathe new life into this poetic form and leave his mark on contemporary Vietnamese six-eight verse.
Author Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh has the idea of using all the money from the sale of the poetry collection "Dong sen tan" and the novel "Coi nhan gian" to sponsor the prize for a 2023 six-eight poetry contest organized by the Institute for Research on Preservation and Promotion of National Culture and the Vietnam Culture Magazine. The expected prize structure is: 1 first prize of 100 million VND, 1 second prize of 50 million VND, 1 third prize of 30 million VND. The poetry collection "Mother" is only for giving away, not for sale .
