Quang Ninh meets businesses to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day

On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2023), Quang Ninh province has just organized a meeting with representatives of nearly 400 enterprises to honor their contributions and encourage the business community and entrepreneurs to continue to strive, overcome difficulties and challenges, and contribute to the successful completion of the local socio-economic development task.

Speaking to the business community and entrepreneurs operating in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that in order to create favorable conditions for businesses to develop further, in the coming time, Quang Ninh province will continue to accompany and listen to the voices of the business community.

On that basis, Quang Ninh province will take responsibility, thoroughly and effectively resolve each difficulty and problem with the goal of increasing trust and improving the satisfaction of individuals, organizations and businesses, and using that as a measure to evaluate the quality of service and management of State administrative agencies from the provincial level to the grassroots level.

According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ninh, currently in Quang Ninh province there are 11,529 enterprises, 22,470 business households, 405 cooperatives in operation, forming an important force promoting the strong development of the local economy.

Many enterprises and entrepreneurs in Quang Ninh province have made breakthroughs in corporate governance, production and business to form large economic groups and private enterprises. At the same time, they have affirmed the value of domestic brands and reached the regional level.

In the first 9 months of 2023, Quang Ninh province had 2,049 newly established enterprises, an increase of 6.8% over the same period in 2022, with registered capital reaching 16,280 billion VND, equivalent to the same period. The number of enterprises entering and returning to the market was 2,752, an increase of 6.4% over the same period.

Notably, during this period, only 398 enterprises were dissolved, down 9.7% over the same period. Also in the 9 months, 65 new cooperatives were established, up 117% of the yearly plan, with registered charter capital of over VND1,904 billion, and average revenue of a cooperative of VND850 million/year.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the business sector's contribution to the State budget of Quang Ninh province reached 17,617 billion VND, an increase of 12.17% over the same period, accounting for 61.86% of the total domestic revenue in the province. Of which, State-owned enterprises were 13,199 billion VND, FDI enterprises were 1,128 billion VND, and private enterprises were 3,290 billion VND .
