Information from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology - PTIT, on August 1, in Seoul, Korea, the SCU - PTIT joint training office located at Seoul Cyber ​​University was opened. Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung witnessed the opening ceremony of the office and congratulated the effective cooperation between the two schools.

The opening of the SCU - PTIT joint training office is a concrete activity to realize the cooperation agreement signed by the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Seoul Cyber ​​University at the end of last year. An important content of the agreement is that the two schools will cooperate to open a joint training program in applied IT and graduates will be awarded dual university degrees from Vietnam and Korea.

This office is a connecting point, promoting PTIT's joint training activities in applied IT according to the digital university model in Korea. The goal is to train and provide highly skilled human resources, meeting the needs of organizations, businesses and society immediately after graduation, especially for both Vietnamese and Korean businesses.

Highly appreciating the training cooperation model between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Seoul Cyber ​​University, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that this is a typical example of digital university development and a meaningful program for the community and for overseas Vietnamese in Korea.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the digital university model of SCU is an advanced model and a model for Vietnamese universities to learn from.

The stone stele named SCU - PTIT Joint Training Office located on the SCU campus is a symbol affirming the determination of the two schools in implementing the joint program according to the digital university model, using a modern e-learning system integrating digital technology and AI. "The two schools need to speed up the progress, increase investment, and expand this advanced digital university model," Minister Nguyen Manh Hung requested.

Receiving and responding to the Minister's direction, Director of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology Dang Hoai Bac and President of Seoul Cyber ​​University Eun-Joo Lee affirmed that they will be determined to implement the joint training program soon to have the first students in the fall semester, school year 2024 - 2025.

According to the representative of PTIT, students graduating from the joint program between the school and Seoul Cyber ​​University will have sufficient knowledge, expertise, professional skills, teamwork ability and the ability to adapt to different working environments, have the ability to self-study, improve knowledge, master and comply with advances in technology related to software engineering and information systems.

Along with that, students studying this program also meet the requirements of Korean language and have a deep understanding of Korean culture, and can work at Korean companies. Following the program, students will have 2 years of study at the Academy and 2 years of study at Seoul Cyber ​​University.

In addition to joint undergraduate training courses for students in Vietnam, the joint program between the two schools also targets the Vietnamese community working and studying in Korea, aiming to provide students with good quality training and support in visas, accommodation, and employment during and after their studies under this program.

Previously, on December 4, 2023 and December 6, 2023, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology opened research and training cooperation offices in Korea and Japan, respectively. These are cultural and educational connection points, where Vietnamese students can access study and work opportunities in Korea and Japan.
