Phu My: Mass mobilization to clean the sea
Responding to Vietnam Sea and Islands Week, World Oceans Day and World Environment Day, on June 6, Phu My District Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with My An Border Guard Station, associations and unions of My Tho, My Thanh, My An, My Thang and My Duc communes to organize a beach cleaning campaign. The activity attracted a large number of cadres, soldiers, union members and association members in the area to participate.

Cadres, soldiers, union members, and association members of units and localities have cleaned up, collected, and treated tons of waste along the coast in the communes.
The units also propagated the importance of the sea to human life and health; how to classify waste and waste treatment measures for the people.
