Kinhtedothi-After a day of focused, serious, and responsible work, with the spirit of continuing to innovate and be substantive according to Project No. 15-DA/TU of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Resolution No. 594/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the question and answer session of the Hanoi People's Council has been completed.
The City People's Council highly appreciates the responsibility to implement the committed contents.
At the question-and-answer session, the City People's Council delegates focused on questioning two groups of issues: re-questioning the implementation of a number of resolutions and conclusions of the City People's Council that have reached the deadline for resolution but are still slow and ineffective; questioning the implementation of a number of targets and tasks of the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period.
Speaking at the closing session of the question and answer session, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan assessed that the content of the questions of the delegates focused on existing problems and limitations; clearly identified the causes and responsibilities to propose solutions to overcome them in the coming time.
The questions are issues that the city is concerned about, focusing on leadership and direction, and accurately reflect the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people.
"That shows that the City People's Council delegates have a firm grasp of the situation, asked short, clear questions, closely following the content of the questioning with a spirit of frankness, constructiveness and high responsibility" - Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan commented.
According to the Chairman of the City People's Council, the content of the questions of the City People's Council delegates demonstrates the role, responsibility, and supervisory power of the People's Council; at the same time, it is the sharing and companionship with the City People's Committee in directing, operating, and implementing the tasks of the City.
Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee, Directors, Heads of Departments, branches, districts and comrades participated in the questioning with a high sense of responsibility, firmly grasped the issues and answered directly and directly to the content of the questions, without avoiding or clarifying the issues raised by the delegates.
Many comrades frankly accepted the responsibilities of the sectors and fields under their charge, and at the same time proposed solutions in the short and long term, committed to overcoming existing problems, and determined to create positive changes in the coming time. The Chairman of the City People's Committee received, clarified and answered questions from delegates on a number of issues under the general authority and responsibility of the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

According to the Chairman of the City People's Council, the results of the questioning session showed that the issues chosen by the City People's Council to question and re-question were "correct" and "on point", important, practical, and suitable to the city's actual situation.
Regarding the group of re-questioning issues, according to the report of the City People's Committee, since the beginning of the term, the City People's Council has questioned 67 contents. Up to now, the City People's Committee has focused on completing 30 contents (accounting for about 44.8%); 37 contents have been partially completed or are being directed for implementation.
At the question-and-answer session, delegates continued to question again, focusing on the results of implementing commitments and promises of the City People's Committee, departments, branches, and units before the City People's Council and voters related to the following areas: traffic, environment, waste and wastewater treatment; management and exploitation of public assets; progress of investment projects (both public and non-budgetary investment capital; administrative reform, anti-corruption and waste).
According to the Chairman of the City People's Council, these are all important and urgent issues arising in the process of developing the city, which are being focused on by the Central Government and the City, and are receiving great attention and direction from the comrades in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and the Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, and are receiving great attention from voters and the People.
Regarding the group of socio-economic issues, delegates focused on questions related to the group of economic development indicators; urban construction, management and development; socio-cultural fields, administrative reform, social order and safety and a number of other fields that still face many difficulties and challenges, requiring focused leadership and direction with more breakthrough, drastic, synchronous and effective tasks and solutions to strive to achieve the highest level of the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress and the Resolution of the City People's Council on the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025.
The City People's Council requests the City People's Committee, all levels and sectors to fully and seriously absorb the opinions of the City People's Council delegates; opinions and recommendations of voters to develop a plan to promptly, synchronously, drastically and effectively implement solutions; urgently direct and clearly assign responsibilities, roadmaps and progress to overcome shortcomings and limitations; seriously implement commitments and promises, meeting the expectations of voters and people.
For specific requirements on the question-and-answer session, the Chairman of the session and the Standing Committee of the City People's Council will synthesize and submit to the City People's Council to issue a Resolution on the question-and-answer session at the closing session; along with an appendix of specific contents, commitments, and progress for the City People's Committee to monitor, direct, and implement. The Standing Committee of the City People's Council, the People's Council Committees, and City People's Council delegates will periodically and regularly count, urge, and supervise.
The City People's Council requests the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, political and social organizations, voters and the People of the Capital to continue to pay attention to, monitor and supervise the implementation of the Resolution of the City People's Council.
Regarding questions that were not answered directly at the question-and-answer session, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan requested that the City People's Committee, Directors, Heads of Departments, branches, sectors and related units respond to delegates in writing with the highest quality.
