Launching the Writing Contest “Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to Elect the National Assembly of Vietnam”

DTO - The Standing Committee of the People's Council of Dong Thap province issued the Plan for the Writing Contest "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam" (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council launched the emulation movement "Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam"

The contest aims to widely disseminate the historical significance of the first General Election of the National Assembly of Vietnam, arouse national pride and civic awareness; create a healthy playground for people of all walks of life, especially the young generation, to express their talents and artistic creativity; contribute to building and developing a reading culture and a creative culture in the community and society.

The content of the contest is a writing contest to learn about the historical traditions of the National Assembly and People's Councils through the periods; typical examples of progress in election activities, social activities; people's voices... The form is a writing contest for journalistic works, literary works (poetry, stories, memoirs, etc.).

Contestants include: Delegation groups, People's Council delegates, People's Council Committees, Standing Committees of People's Councils at all levels; cadres, civil servants, employees of elected agencies at all levels and people in the province.

The article can be by 1 author or group of authors, in accordance with the theme and regulations of the contest. Each author or group of authors can submit a maximum of 2 works. Each work submitted to the contest includes a printed copy (A4 size) and a soft copy (Microsoft Word format).

Prize structure: collective prize for localities, agencies, units with many works participating in the contest; individual prize includes: 1 special prize, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee of the contest will consider and decide on the additional prizes depending on the actual situation.

Deadline for submission of entries: from February 2025 to September 30, 2025 (according to the postmark). The award ceremony will be held at the end of December 2025, on the occasion of organizing meetings to summarize movements; meeting and honoring outstanding individuals of the 2021 - 2026 term.

Entries should be sent directly, by post or email to the Organizing Committee of the contest; clearly stating the genre of participation, author/author group information: full name, date of birth, address, phone number, email (if any).
