Promote communication on electricity saving
In 2024, Dong Thap Power Company (PC Dong Thap) synchronously deployed power saving solutions (TKĐ) and saved 73.7 million kWh/3,229.067 million kWh of commercial products in 2023 (reaching 2.41%). Promoting efficiency, from the beginning of 2025, PC Dong Thap proactively deployed many practical solutions in TKĐ.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Deputy Director of PC Dong Thap said that the unit always pays attention to and continuously implements the work of energy saving. First, the company disseminates to all cadres, workers and civil servants the practice of saving electricity in the workplace and each cadre, worker and civil servant is a propagandist about electrical safety and energy saving to their families and relatives. Next, the company focuses on promoting communication work in many forms on using electricity economically, safely and effectively to raise awareness of people, businesses and the community about energy saving and energy saving.

Mr. Ho Viet Cuong - Director of Processing and Preservation Mechanics, Vietnam Rice Company Limited (Truong Xuan Industrial Park, Truong Xuan Commune, Thap Muoi District) said that electricity accounts for 18 - 20% of production costs, so the company is very interested in energy saving. The company has switched to using LED bulbs completely; installed ventilation fans, cooling systems; invested in modern equipment to replace old and power-consuming machines, and proactively cleaned and maintained electrical equipment. The company has also implemented many energy saving methods for the company office and workplace such as: adjusting the air conditioner temperature appropriately, turning off and unplugging all electrical equipment (if possible) when not in use or going out...
In particular, through the propaganda and encouragement of Thap Muoi Electricity, the company always responds to the shift of peak hour loads of the power system. This is a very meaningful work, contributing to reducing the burden of the power system load during peak hours , suitable for all businesses to be able to use electricity stably through the general regulation of the Southern Power Corporation, so when being mobilized to participate, the company has proactively adjusted the production process reasonably to limit the use of electricity during peak hours, shifting the production line to normal and off-peak hours, reducing production during peak hours, minimizing the use of many high-capacity devices at the same time, and reducing lighting electricity to save electricity.
The Women's Union of Thap Muoi district is one of the units that actively coordinates with the electricity sector every year to promote energy efficiency among members, the community and raise awareness of energy efficiency right at the office. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - Vice President of the Women's Union of Thap Muoi district, shared: "We coordinate with Thap Muoi Electricity to develop and implement an energy efficiency plan for the unit, ensuring annual savings of at least 5.0% of total energy consumption in the year. The Women's Union of the district has recommended that cadres, employees as well as all members turn off electrical equipment when not needed, such as: turning off the lighting system, air conditioning... when leaving the room; after working hours, turn off all electrical equipment, do not leave it in standby mode (computers, printers, photocopiers...); Use air conditioners at temperatures of 27 degrees Celsius or higher, combined with fans,... In addition, the Women's Electricity Saving Groups in the district constantly promote the effectiveness of safe, economical and efficient use of electricity in households, contributing significantly to the propaganda work of Electricity Saving".
