On the morning of June 14, the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Life and Law Magazine solemnly held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work.

Attending the announcement and decision-giving ceremony were: Dr. Nguyen Van Quyen - Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; Dr. Tran Cong Phan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; Mr. Tran Duc Long - Member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; Ms. Le Thi Kim Thanh - Member of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; Mr. Luong Mai Sao - Member of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Vietnam Lawyers Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi My - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Life and Law Magazine, along with heads and deputy heads of professional departments, representative offices and all staff, reporters and editors of the Life and Law Magazine.

With the consent of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Information and Communications on the appointment of Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law Magazine, on June 14, 2024, the President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association signed Decision No. 100/QD-HLGVN appointing journalist Pham Quoc Huy - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law Magazine to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law Magazine.

At the ceremony, Mr. Luong Mai Sao - Member of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Vietnam Lawyers Association read the decision to appoint Mr. Pham Quoc Huy as Editor-in-Chief of the Life and Law Magazine by the President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association. Speaking at the Conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Quyen - President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the National Lawyers Association, congratulated the new Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law Magazine, Pham Quoc Huy.

Chairman Nguyen Van Quyen acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and development of the Life and Law Magazine (formerly the Life and Law Newspaper) since its establishment. According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, the development and improvement of the personnel of the Life and Law Magazine is a common task of the Vietnam Lawyers Association.

Chairman Nguyen Van Quyen requested that the collective of cadres, reporters and editors of the Magazine must identify itself as the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, always performing well its strategic task of performing well its political tasks in accordance with its principles and purposes.

Along with that, Dr. Nguyen Van Quyen assigned the additional task of leading the Magazine to ensure the material and spiritual life of all staff, reporters, and editors of the Magazine.

In particular, Chairman Nguyen Van Quyen also assigned additional tasks in 2024 to the Life and Law Magazine, specifically: The staff, reporters, and editors actively promote the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, which will take place at the end of this year, as well as towards the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Lawyers Association (April 4, 1955 - April 4, 2025).

The President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association hopes that in his new position, journalist Pham Quoc Huy and the staff, reporters, and editors will promote collective strength, solidarity, and enthusiasm to strive together to make the Life and Law Magazine increasingly strong and complete the tasks assigned by the leaders of the Vietnam Lawyers Association.

Speaking at the ceremony, new Editor-in-Chief Pham Quoc Huy expressed his emotion at being entrusted with the new task.

At the same time, he also expressed his gratitude to journalist Nguyen Tien Thanh - former Editor-in-Chief of Life and Law Magazine, Chairman of the Board of Members and General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House - a leader, a teacher and a brother who has always guided him and the staff of Life and Law Magazine throughout the past time.

“I am aware that taking on a new responsibility is both an honor and a responsibility. Above all, it is an opportunity for me to personally devote all my enthusiasm and intelligence to the Editorial Board, all staff, reporters, editors and workers to contribute to the growing development of Life and Law Magazine,” journalist Pham Quoc Huy shared.

New Editor-in-Chief Pham Quoc Huy hopes and believes that the staff, reporters and editors of the Magazine will continue to promote the core values ​​of solidarity, responsibility, humanity and friendliness to contribute to bringing the Magazine of Life and Law to new successes.

Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, born in 1977, is from Hanoi. He is one of the founders of the Life and Law Magazine (formerly the Life and Law Newspaper). Before being appointed, the new Editor-in-Chief Pham Quoc Huy has been with the Life and Law Magazine since 2001, holding the positions of Head of the Board of Trustees and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Life and Law Magazine.

From June 2020 to present, he is a Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Lawyers Association.
