Kiss

When it comes to kissing, everyone thinks of couples in love. In fact, kisses are also given to loved ones in the family. Parents kiss their children. Children kiss their parents. A tight hug and a kiss on the cheek from a child will bring great happiness to parents.

How long has it been since you kissed your parents? A young person asked that question in his post on Facebook. I don't know you in real life, we are just friends online, but reading your question suddenly made me want to hug you and cry because I sympathize with you. Only when you know how to think about your parents will you truly mature. Every parent is so worried about their children that they always force them to do this and that. Of course, the things parents instruct and advise are for the best for their children, but that makes the children feel tired, controlled and want to escape from their parents' supervision, to be free to do as they please.

Young people, with too big an ego, too much pride, have not experienced failure or suffering, so life is full of roses ahead. Everything is "you can do it yourself". Everything is "what do parents know to say". So parents can only helplessly watch their children fly out of the nest, then angrily "let them fall, let them get hurt, let them do whatever they want, don't care anymore". The young bird leaves the nest, the vast sky ahead, beautiful as it is, there are so many traps lurking, how can one avoid stumbling, how can one avoid failure. When they fail, they can only cry alone, not daring to tell their parents, most afraid of hearing the words "I told you so but you didn't listen". Try to stand up by yourself, try to start over just to confirm to your parents that you have grown up.

And so, the vicious cycle of one side wanting to control and protect, while the other side wants to break free and be free, repeats itself year after year. A child's psychology is always afraid of admitting failure in front of their parents. So when their job is stable, they have a family, have children, and become parents, then they realize and understand their parents' hearts and love them more. But life is so unpredictable, some people realize and love their parents when they no longer have parents to love. Only then do they regret and blame themselves for being heartless for so many years. Tears follow the wind and fly into the air, becoming millions of drops of sadness...

There are also children who never grow up, always wanting their parents to protect them. When they fail, they come home to hug their mother and cry. When they are in pain, they find their way home. So parents always carry the burden of sadness and suffering for their children. They have to work hard, worry about saving money to send to their children so that they can do business. Then ungrateful children never look at their father's gray hair, their mother's shriveled face to feel sorry for them, they just take their money and follow the illusion of getting rich. When their parents are no longer around, they realize with disappointment that they have lost their support. Some people, even when their parents die, still refuse to grow up, still do not know how to love their parents who have worked hard for them, seeing taking care of their children as the responsibility of the parents alone.

Someone told me that life is a flow of parents giving birth to children, children giving birth to grandchildren, grandchildren giving birth to great-grandchildren... and so on. Everyone has a small family to take care of, everyone only cares about taking care of their own children and rarely looks back to their parents to take care of them. "Parents raise their children with all their might". If you can't even take care of your own small family, how can you take care of your extended family? So sometimes you are helpless, you love your parents very much but due to difficult economic conditions, you can't take care of them.

Indeed, there are many cases like that, because they are too poor to take care of their parents. But that is true only in terms of material things, but what about feelings? Parents do not need their children to bring home a lot of money, do not need their children to buy them delicious food, or branded clothes. Parents only need their children to remember them, to care and ask about them, to come back to visit them, and they are happy. A hug, a kiss, a sentence "I love you, Dad/Mom" can make parents happy for many days, many months. So why don't we show our love to our parents while they are still alive.

Actually, it is not because we do not love our parents, it is just because the gap between the two generations is too big. When we are young, every child wants to be hugged and kissed by their parents, and they naturally hug and kiss their parents back. But as we grow older, the hugs and kisses become less and less. The distance between parents and children becomes further and further. Especially the differences in thinking and lifestyle make that distance even longer. Parents and children begin to be wary of each other, and are no longer close. So there are young people who confide that they love their mothers very much, and sometimes they want to hug their mothers just to say "I love you so much" but do not dare.

Perhaps for this reason, people established international kissing day to remind parents and children to express their love for each other through kisses.

Run home as fast as you can, hug your mom/dad tightly, kiss their hair, tell them “I love you so much”, and a miracle will definitely happen!
