The first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival 2024, chaired by the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians' Association, the Vietnam Dance Artists' Association, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, will take place from November 21 to November 30, 2024.
The festival gathered nearly 1,000 artists, actors, and technicians from 13 art troupes nationwide to compete. The festival has affirmed itself as a national brand among the art festivals of song, dance, and music in Vietnam; an opportunity for artists and actors working in the fields of song, dance, and music to demonstrate their talents as well as their desire to create and contribute, continuing to nurture the flame of passion for their profession; at the same time, to exchange, gain experience, and improve their professional qualifications.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee Bui Huy Vinh and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong presented flowers to the Festival Art Council.

This is the second time Pham Phuong Thao has been trusted to participate in the position of the Festival's Art Council. The female artist has increasingly affirmed her position and prestige in her profession when she is continuously invited to be a judge alongside her seniors in the profession at music competitions, especially professional competitions of national scale such as the National Music and Dance Festival. This makes Pham Phuong Thao very proud and emotional. The Festival's Art Council consists of talented artists with a lot of prestige in artistic activities, including: People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Chairman of the Art Council; People's Artist Tran Binh, Former Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater; People's Artist, Colonel Lu Thi Kieu Le, Head of the Dance Department of the Military University of Culture and Arts; People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Musicians' Association, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music; People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao; Master Cao Dinh Thang, Lecturer of the Military University of Culture and Arts; Musician Hoang Anh Minh.
Thirteen art units competing at the Festival are: Viet Bac Folk Song and Dance Theater; Bac Kan Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe; Vinh Phuc Provincial Art Troupe; Lao Cai Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe; Lang Son Provincial Cultural and Art Center; Thai Binh Provincial Cheo Theater; Dien Bien Provincial Art Troupe; Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater; Son La Provincial Music and Dance Theater; Hai Phong Song and Dance Troupe; Lam Son Drama and Dance Theater; Thang Long Music and Dance Theater; Army Music and Dance Theater.
The competition programs will take place at Vinh Phuc Provincial Theater. The first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 will take place until November 30.
