Keeping the unique slider design, the N97 Elite offers an interesting combination of a 4.7-inch touchscreen and a controller with a D-pad and buttons, replacing the physical QWERTY keyboard on the original version.
In terms of configuration, the N97 Elite is equipped with a Snapdragon 855+ chip (launched in 2019), 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory, powerful enough to handle classic games and some modern games. Currently, the N97 Elite is sold in China for about 205 USD (about 5.2 million VND), with many special versions for fans of anime themes such as Gundam and Dragon Ball.
However, initial reviews of the N97 Elite have been less than positive. Some have said that the device's performance is not really impressive, the software is buggy and lacks an analog joystick.
However, with its unique design reminiscent of a technology legend, the N97 Elite still attracts the attention of many users.
It is still unclear whether this unique gaming device can 'make a difference' like what the Nokia N97 did. The answer will depend on whether Sugar Cubes can overcome the product's shortcomings and optimize the user experience.
