Taking place from October 26 to 28 at Au Co Arts Center, the 2023 National Elderly Singing Festival was held for the first time on a national scale with the participation of more than 400 members and actors from 19 elderly mass art troupes from provinces and cities that won A prizes in previous regional elderly singing festivals held in Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung awarded A prizes to 8 elderly art troupes from provinces and cities.
At the closing and award ceremony, the festival's Organizing Committee awarded 8 A prizes, 6 B prizes and 5 C prizes for the entire group and 32 best performances of the festival to the mass art troupes of the elderly in the provinces and cities. Of which, the Ninh Thuan troupe won the A prize for the entire group; 2 solo performances "Nong nan Ninh Thuan que toi" and the duet "Tinh lang gom" won the excellent awards.
