Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended and highly appreciated the results Quang Nam achieved in 2024, especially the efforts in growth, social security, infrastructure, encouraging businesses to invest, and organizing Tet for people to be happy and every family to have Tet.
Analyzing some lessons learned, the Prime Minister emphasized that Quang Nam cadres must continue to unite and promote the tradition of bravery and resilience in the resistance war, and have a clearer awareness of the role, position, potential and importance of the province.
Strongly promote the spirit of self-reliance, dynamism, creativity, effectively mobilize all resources; effectively utilize all potential differences, comparative advantages, outstanding opportunities, and rise strongly with endogenous strength.
At the same time, promote decentralization and delegation of power along with resource allocation, improve implementation capacity and strengthen supervision and inspection; be persistent, steadfast, far-sighted, think deeply and do big things, have a focus and key points, do not spread resources, do each task properly and complete each task.
The Prime Minister noted that the apparatus takes people as the center, the subject, the resource and the driving force of development, takes people and businesses as the center in public administration services, in innovation, in poverty reduction, ensuring social security, protecting the environment and in resource mobilization.
In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested to continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize the Party's resolutions, the Politburo's resolutions and conclusions on development, closely following the Party's and State's guidelines and policies and the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister.
“Governments at all levels must closely follow reality, take reality as a measure, have high determination, great efforts, drastic and effective actions, the more pressure there is, the more efforts must be made, strive to achieve the highest results, successfully carry out the tasks of 2025 and the 2021-2025 plan” - the Prime Minister emphasized.
In the context of streamlining the apparatus, it is necessary to resolutely build a streamlined, united, honest, active, and effective administrative system, and build a team of professional, civilized, modern, clean, dedicated, and people-serving cadres and civil servants.
Construction of Chu Lai airport level 4F
The Prime Minister asked Quang Nam to strive to fulfill its economic development target of at least 10% growth by 2025. To achieve this target, the province needs to mobilize the synchronous participation of businesses, sectors, and localities, focusing on the fields of industry, energy, trade, logistics, tourism, and services.
In addition, diversify products, markets and supply chains, and exploit new growth drivers such as digital economy, green economy, circular economy, artificial intelligence, cultural industry, and entertainment industry.
The Prime Minister emphasized the restructuring of the economy towards industry and services, based on innovation and technology. Quang Nam needs to promote investment in infrastructure, especially strategic transport infrastructure, logistics and urban systems. One of the key points is to build Chu Lai airport to level 4F, developing it into a modern air transport, logistics and airport urban center.
“Quang Nam must take the lead according to its authority, requesting that in February the land issue be resolved, calling for investors based on the approval of the Ministry of Transport. This is a 4F airport, and must build an ecosystem for the airport, an airport city, not just takeoff and landing.
Chu Lai Airport is very important, I have been very interested in it for a long time, not just now. You do not have to ask anyone, if there are any difficulties, discuss with the ministries, the Government will assign Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to resolve. The procedures must be completed within the first 6 months of the year, any enterprise that commits to completing the work within 2 years will be allowed to do it" - the Prime Minister said.
In addition, the Prime Minister directed the province to accelerate investment in Cua Lo waterway, plan Chu Lai logistics center, upgrade national highways 14D and 14B, participate in developing high-speed railways, and open expressways connecting with Laos...
The Prime Minister pledged that the Government will create favorable conditions for Quang Nam to develop, and at the same time requested ministries and branches at the central level to join hands with Quang Nam province to promote the province's tradition and strength, handle problems, and remove all difficulties and obstacles to support the province's development.
