Similarly, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also increased when businesses traded 99.99 plain gold rings at VND86.8 million/tael, and sold at VND89.9 million/tael, an increase of VND300,000 per tael compared to the morning.

According to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, although there was no crowding, long queues or waiting for hours like in previous years to buy gold, the atmosphere of gold buying and selling at business units was still quite bustling.

"For nearly ten years now, every year I buy 1 tael of gold on the 10th of January to put in my piggy bank, so I don't care if the price goes up or down," said Ms. Tuyet, living in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
SJC employees said that there are still a lot of customers, so there is no need to worry about running out. Customers buying gold rings will be able to buy up to 2 taels of gold instead of 0.5 taels per person like a few days ago. As for gold bars, customers can buy as much as they want.
"I'm just afraid that customers will run out of money, but if they want to buy 5 or 10 taels of SJC gold bars, they can," said an employee of this gold company.
The number of visitors is not as crowded as every year but it is bustling, especially the area where customers wait to transfer money to buy gold.
