The 2025 Southern Traditional Cake Festival enters its 12th season with many innovations and creativity in presentation and promotion. The highlight is the promotion of a giant pancake with a diameter of 3m, a circumference of 9m, using more than 100 lobsters. This is the second time the festival has performed this type of cake, attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and enjoy it for free.

The cake was made according to southern tastes but still kept the typical shape of northern banh chung, creating a harmonious combination of two regional culinary styles. After being displayed, the cake was divided and shared among more than 2,000 visitors.
This year’s festival brings together 231 booths from 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region and many other localities across the country. Among them are 118 traditional cake booths, 59 regional specialty booths and 40 modern culinary booths, creating a diverse and attractive dining space.
