Ms. Susan Burns (second from left), US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, speaks at the meeting.

Specifically, the City wants the three countries of the United States, Japan and South Korea to join Vietnam in building a technology exchange platform based on a public-private partnership model that meets international standards.

This exchange will be a place to connect and share advanced technology from participating countries, creating new technology and valuable technology goods for all parties.

Along with that, the City wants to work with the three countries to establish a mechanism to coordinate sustainable supply chains through advanced technology tools. This will help optimize production processes, minimize costs and enhance competitiveness for participating businesses.

In addition, the City hopes to attract investment from three countries in high-tech fields such as: Big Data, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, new materials, biotechnology, research and development (R&D)...

At the same time, the city wants to build a cooperation framework on human resource training with the three countries. In particular, the immediate goal is to train 1,000 specialized engineers for the 2025-2026 period; support at least 50% of small and medium enterprises in the city to access and apply artificial intelligence (general and specialized).

In addition, the City also hopes that the three countries will cooperate in the fields of startups and innovation; support startup projects (in training, incubation and finance) and exchange students in science and technology fields.

At the meeting, delegates from the three delegations highly appreciated the city's achievements in the field of high technology; expressed confidence in the cooperation opportunities between the parties and the potential for developing high-tech and artificial intelligence industries in the city.

Delegates suggested that the city should further improve the investment and business environment; remove obstacles in administrative procedures in a more open direction and shorten the processing time; the government should support businesses better and more substantially, and establish more convenient, clear and specific communication channels.

Along with that, delegates also suggested that the City needs to promote training of suitable human resources; improve technical infrastructure, especially the need to provide better and more stable power supply; better telecommunication connections...

Acknowledging the frank and practical suggestions from the three working groups, Mr. Le Truong Duy affirmed that he would fully convey these suggestions to the city's highest leaders.

Mr. Duy added: The city always wants to improve the business and investment environment quickly and substantially. The fact that all parties speak up and come up with solutions is the basis for the city to gradually remove difficulties and obstacles for foreign investors. We all have to join in to promote the highest common interests for the four countries in general and the business communities of the four countries in particular.
