Best goalkeeper of the tournament - Quan Van Chuan
Although he did not play very well before entering the final match of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship held in Thailand, goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan became the hero who helped U23 Vietnam successfully defend the "throne" of the tournament, becoming the first team to be crowned twice in the Southeast Asian U23 tournament.

Having conceded only one goal in four matches, "spider-man" Van Chuan deserves to be named the tournament's best goalkeeper. Meanwhile, with three goals in this tournament, striker Dinh Xuan Tien became the tournament's joint "Top Scorer" along with Malaysian striker Alif Ikmalrizal.
Coach Shin Tae-yong continues to fail to win Vietnamese football
... while coach Hoang Anh Tuan won his first championship title in his career as a national team coach.
U23 Indonesia was resilient for more than 120 minutes of play but still had to finish second in the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Tournament after losing 5-6 in the penalty shootout. Once again, coach Shin Tae-yong could not defeat Vietnam in the Southeast Asian arena, but the team from the archipelago still won the individual title when player Arkhan Fikri was voted the best player of the tournament.

In addition, despite being the home team, U23 Thailand only finished third overall after a hard-fought victory over U23 Malaysia on the same day. After 90 minutes of a goalless draw, the two teams had to decide the winner in a penalty shootout and Thailand won with a score of 4-3.
