(BDO) These days, the whole country is turning to Dien Bien province in a very meaningful program, which is to mobilize support for building solidarity houses for the poor. In Binh Duong, the Provincial Campaign Committee for the Day for the Poor is also deploying a campaign, calling on compatriots, soldiers, organizations, agencies and businesses to actively support resources for this program.
Meaningful program
Responding to the emulation movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind" launched by the Prime Minister; practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), welcoming the Congresses of the Front at all levels towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2024-2029), the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with Dien Bien province and relevant agencies to implement the project to mobilize and support the construction of affordable housing for poor households in Dien Bien province. Accordingly, within 1 year (from May 7, 2023 to May 7, 2024), the Vietnam Fatherland Front will focus on mobilizing social resources to support the construction of 7,000 - 8,000 new houses for poor and near-poor households in Dien Bien province and the Northwest region (of which, Dien Bien province will be supported to build 5,000 houses). The total estimated cost of mobilizing support is about 350 - 400 billion VND, with a support level of 50 million VND/house.
Recently, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has mobilized and built many solidarity houses for the poor.
In Binh Duong, with the approval of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Hospital for the Poor has issued a plan to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor in Dien Bien province. In order for the plan to be implemented soon to achieve the set goals, contributing to the successful implementation of the program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Deputy Head of the Provincial Hospital for the Poor has called on compatriots, soldiers, organizations, agencies and businesses to support the program of building houses for the poor in Dien Bien province.
In addition to mobilizing resources to effectively implement social security work in the province, in recent times, Binh Duong has also paid attention to supporting resources to help many other provinces in caring for and supporting the poor. Therefore, right after the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front launched the program to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor in Dien Bien province, Binh Duong was one of the first provinces and cities to register to support. Mr. Nguyen Van Loc affirmed that this is a program with profound political, social and humane significance. The implementation of the program not only mobilizes social resources to support the construction of houses for the poor in Dien Bien province in particular, but also contributes to the propaganda and education of traditional history, arousing the spirit of great national unity, raising the sense of responsibility of all classes of people in caring for the poor, ethnic minorities, and revolutionary base areas who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation.
Recently, many groups, individuals and businesses have supported and joined hands with the province to build solidarity houses for the poor.
Striving to mobilize 200 houses
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will preside over and coordinate with socio-political organizations, member organizations of the Provincial Fatherland Front and relevant agencies to implement the program "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes".
The purpose of the program is to mobilize businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals to promote the tradition of "Love others as you love yourself", contribute money and labor to build houses for the poor and near-poor households in Dien Bien - Northwest province. The mobilization program in the province will be implemented from May 2023 to September 2023. According to the plan of the Provincial Hospital, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province will coordinate with relevant agencies and departments to strive to mobilize 200 houses for the poor in Dien Bien province, equivalent to 10 billion VND.
After the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee issued a plan to organize the campaign and called for support, localities and departments in the province also took part in propagating the significance of the program to all classes of people in the area. Localities showed their consensus in mobilizing social resources to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Hospital for the Poor to participate in this practical program. Mr. Huynh Van Thanh, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, said that this is a program of great significance, demonstrating the tradition of solidarity and affection of the Vietnamese people. Mr. Huynh Van Thanh said: "In order for the program to soon deploy mobilization work in the locality, the Standing Committee of the City Fatherland Front Committee - the Standing Office of the Fund for the Poor of Thu Dau Mot City is asking for the policy of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the policy of supporting and mobilizing more resources to help build houses for the poor in Dien Bien province, striving to mobilize support for 15 houses for the poor according to the allocation target of the Provincial Fund for the Poor".
Supporting the construction of houses for the poor in Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces is a humane and compassionate program, helping the poor to rise up in life. The program also demonstrates the responsibility and deep gratitude of the people of the whole country today towards the people in the land where in the past they contributed a lot of effort, did not hesitate to shed blood and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the nation.
With the profound political, social and humanistic significance of the program, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee calls on businesses, agencies, organizations, collectives, individuals in the province, Binh Duong people abroad; cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, religious organizations, union members, members of socio-political organizations and people in the province to join hands to contribute to supporting the people of Dien Bien province and the Northwest region to rise out of poverty, improve their material and spiritual lives, and be "blood and flesh" attached to the border land of the Fatherland.
