Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company participated in the construction of 2 packages of infrastructure construction and environmental improvement projects for Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canals with a value of more than 130 billion VND.
In the official dispatch inviting contractors and supervision consultants to a meeting on the construction status of packages XL-05 and XL-06 under the Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal infrastructure construction and environmental improvement project, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board requested the joint venture of contractors and supervision consultants to report on the implementation status of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company in the construction of the above two packages. At the same time, Thuan An contractor must report specifically on the construction implementation plan to ensure the completion of the packages before April 30, 2025.
In the above two packages, Thuan An, as a member of the consortium participating in the construction, the total contract value that this unit performed was about 130 billion VND.
In which, package No. 5 (section from Tan Ky - Tan Quy bridge to Bung bridge) is more than 3 km long, Thuan An is a member of the consortium with 5 other companies. The above enterprise undertakes the construction of traffic road and technical infrastructure items (except trees, lighting) on the right bank of the canal with about 77.5 billion VND, equivalent to 13.8% of the contract value.
Thuan An Group is present in 3 key projects in Ho Chi Minh City
In package number 6 (from Bung bridge to Tham Luong) 2.8 km long, Thuan An is in a joint venture with 4 other companies. This unit carries out the construction of traffic roads, technical infrastructure (except trees, lighting) on the right bank, worth more than 53 billion VND, about 11.7% of the contract.
In a previous document sent to the investor, the company said that so far the construction volume in package 5 has reached about 4%, and package 6 about 4.42%. Regarding the personnel at the construction site, the contractor has directed to rectify and at the same time committed and is responsible to the investor for the activities of the construction site command boards in these two packages.
Currently, Thuan An Group has planned to continue the construction, but there are still some difficulties and problems such as lack of sand and no dumping site. Therefore, Thuan An Group recommends that the investor consider approving the source of sand and dumping site for the two packages as soon as possible. After approval, the contractor commits to immediately organize the construction, ensuring the quality and progress of the packages and not affecting the overall progress of the project.
In addition to the renovation of Tham Luong - Ben Cat canal, Thuan An Group is also present in two key projects of Ho Chi Minh City including Ring Road 3 and Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Huu Tho underpass (District 7). The Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of the City (the investor of these two projects) has also issued a letter of invitation to work with Thuan An Group.
"We are also preparing a backup plan to terminate the contract and transfer the remaining construction volume of Thuan An to the joint venture members according to the contract terms in case this contractor cannot ensure the required volume and construction progress or cannot continue construction in the near future" - the leader of the Traffic Department informed.
