Previously, from the beginning of September until now, 39 VNVC vaccination centers in Ho Chi Minh City have injected more than 30,000 doses of measles vaccine for children under 10 years old, a very meaningful number contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's campaign to control and repel the ongoing measles epidemic.
In addition to free measles vaccination, the centers also recorded that parents also gave their children other important vaccines such as flu vaccine, meningitis vaccine, chickenpox vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, hepatitis AB vaccine, etc. Currently, VNVC has many price support policies, "inject first, pay later" support with no interest for up to 12 months to help people reduce economic burden and prevent diseases in time.
VNVC dispatches refrigerated trucks to transport specialized vaccines that meet GSP standards, which are considered "mobile cold storages" to receive vaccines from medical centers in Ho Chi Minh City to ensure vaccine quality and safety for children vaccinated right from the start.
Taking baby Hoang Anh (16 months old) to get the first dose of the free measles vaccine, Ms. Tran Thi Thu (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) said that both her husband and she are factory workers, working all day so they have not arranged time to take their baby for vaccination. Hearing about the measles outbreak and seeing that the VNVC vaccination center near their house was organizing free vaccinations, she immediately took her child for vaccination.
"It only took about 5 minutes to get to the vaccination site, the facility ensured safe vaccination, the doctor examined very carefully, the nurse injected and comforted the baby gently so the baby was comfortable during the injection. Although the injection was free, the center still served me attentively like a regular customer, so I felt very satisfied," Ms. Thu shared.
Hundreds of parents brought their children to VNVC's free measles vaccination sites to prevent the disease for their children on September 16.

Doctor Chinh said that in addition to supporting the measles vaccination campaign, VNVC also strives to provide all types of vaccines in the context of complicated epidemic developments, frequent rains and floods from now until the end of the year, causing many diseases to be at risk of outbreak such as flu, chickenpox, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, etc.
The VNVC vaccination system currently has nearly 200 centers nationwide, with 4 cold storage facilities and hundreds of central warehouses meeting international GSP standards that can simultaneously store 400 million doses of vaccine at a standard temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius.
