Mr. Tran Anh Khoa (residing in Thu Duc City), one of the people who often "hunt" for sunset scenes, said that for the past month, the high temperatures brought by the heat in Ho Chi Minh City as well as across the country have caused many people to complain.
Therefore, to reduce fatigue and heat during this time, Mr. Khoa chose to go to work a little earlier to watch the sunrise, and come home later to watch the sunset. "If I have to go to work at noon, I try to wear warm clothes and sunglasses to reduce the heat, but how can I avoid the heat this season?" Mr. Khoa shared.
Some photographers and residents shared images on social media sites showing the rising and setting of the Sun during this time period appearing fuller and clearer than usual.
At the same time, the sun gradually changed from bright yellow to red like egg yolk, dyeing the whole sky orange.

Southern region is hot and sunny
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, currently Ho Chi Minh City and other areas are experiencing widespread hot weather. This is the first prolonged heat wave in 2024. Previously, heat waves only occurred locally or widely but only lasted for about 1-2 days.
The cause of the heat wave is due to the strong activity of El Nino and at the same time, the Southern region is continuously affected by the activity of subtropical high pressure above. These are dry and hot weather patterns, causing the weather to be rainless and sunny with strong intensity.
