Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman Le Son Hai delivered the opening speech at the Conference

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman Le Son Hai said that environmental issues and climate change are not stories or warnings, but they exist and always threaten our lives. This is most evident in the Southwest region during the rainy season, when landslides continuously occur on many river banks, including Vinh Long province. In addition, environmental quality continues to deteriorate rapidly, water sources are declining sharply, the air is heavily polluted, and natural resources are being overexploited...

In order for people to continue to have a stable life, ensure health conditions, and facilitate production to earn a living, they must have a certain amount of knowledge about the environment. From these important issues, the Party and the State have issued timely policies and legal documents to guide and implement in the environmental field.
