Nam Dinh organizes fire fighting and rescue drills

Kinhtedothi - On the morning of November 7, Nam Dinh province organized a provincial-level firefighting and rescue drill, mobilizing many forces and vehicles at Amara Vietnam Shoe Company Limited with 642 members and 1,000 workers participating in the drill.

Content of the simulation exercise: At 15:00 on YY month ZZ year 2024, at AMARA Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd., a fire occurred due to an electrical short circuit in the finished product warehouse area on the 2nd floor of a 4-storey mixed-use building with an area of ​​about ^2,000m2 . At the time of the fire, the warehouse contained hundreds of tons of raw materials and finished products for the sports shoe and cardboard industries.

The fire spread quickly and emitted toxic smoke, trapping 20 workers and on-site firefighters. The professional firefighting force of the provincial police, together with on-site firefighters of Amara Company, local people, armed forces, Truc Ninh district authorities and a number of departments and branches in the province, coordinated to organize firefighting and conduct search and rescue activities, rescue people, save property, and extinguish the fire as quickly as possible.

Comrade Tran Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in advising on organization and participating in the exercise.

The above exercise plan mobilized many means and forces and received high appreciation from the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security; leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province; leaders of police units in the province and leaders of the police of Ha Nam, Ninh Binh and Thai Binh provinces attending the exercise.

Colonel Phan Thi Loan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with achievements in advising on organization and participating in the exercise.

Comrade Tran Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged that the drill achieved the set goals and requirements regarding the synchronous coordination of professional firefighting forces and on-site firefighting forces. The drill mobilized the participation of authorities at all levels, departments, branches and people in firefighting.

At the end of the exercise, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Dung awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 2 groups and 3 individuals; Colonel Phan Thi Loan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 groups and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the exercise.
