In addition, during the Lunar New Year, most localities organize Tet flower markets, Spring Fairs... which are also places that attract many consumers to visit and shop. The goods here are also very diverse, beautiful in form and are held on the days before Tet (from the 25th to the morning of the 30th of Tet), which also reduces the burden on traditional markets. In addition, the trend of shopping through e-commerce platforms is still chosen by many people thanks to the convenience of this type along with the fact that suppliers launch many attractive promotional programs. Some foreign-invested supermarkets do not take Tet holidays, which limits people's mentality of hoarding.

Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang reported on the implementation of the organization of the Lunar New Year 2024 and key tasks that need to be focused on after Tet.

Regarding the situation of production and trade of counterfeit and poor quality goods, and violations of food safety and hygiene during the period before Tet, there were many complicated developments. However, the functional forces, including the Market Management force, have increased inspection, control and timely handling of violators. Many valuable shipments of goods violating food safety regulations have been seized and destroyed.

" Thanks to that, the food safety situation during the Lunar New Year holiday was ensured, without any complicated or outstanding developments" - Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang emphasized.

Regarding the inspection and supervision of petroleum business activities, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang also said that in strictly implementing the Official Dispatches and Directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, the market management force nationwide will arrange forces to regularly inspect and closely supervise all petroleum retail establishments in the management area.

According to reports from the units: Domestic gasoline supply is guaranteed; most gas stations are open 24/7, even during Tet holidays, promptly serving people's consumption needs. Up to now, no violations have been detected, especially violations of speculation, hoarding, closing, and ceasing operations without justifiable reasons.

Regarding the situation of trading and using fireworks during the Lunar New Year, according to a quick report from the Market Management Department of localities, during the Lunar New Year holiday, no cases of trading fireworks were detected; however, in some localities, the authorities discovered signs of people using fireworks of unknown origin on New Year's Eve. Local authorities have been verifying and clarifying the situation to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.

During Tet, power plants operated relatively stably. The power transmission system always ensured high backup. There were some minor incidents on the medium voltage grid on the distribution grid, but they were promptly handled to restore power supply to the load. Power Corporations provided safe and stable electricity to meet people's daily needs during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.

Along with industrial and commercial production activities, the Ministry's communication activities before, during and after Tet remained stable according to plan and ensured the set goals. The Ministry's leaders and units paid attention to organizing Tet and welcoming spring activities in the entire agency (before and during Tet) in a thoughtful, solemn, economical, joyful and healthy manner.
