On July 19, at the Government Office, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Soltan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi within the framework of his official visit to Vietnam and the 3rd Political Consultation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
In an open and friendly atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his impression of the development of Qatar, a country with an important role in the region, a developed economy and a unique culture. The Prime Minister believes that Qatar, under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, will continue to achieve great achievements in national construction and development.
Welcoming the second visit of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Soltan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi to Vietnam, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the development in the relations between the two countries in recent times and highly appreciated the results of the Political Consultation between the two Foreign Ministries. The Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to closely coordinate to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially visits by high-ranking leaders of the two countries, to enhance political trust and open up new cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
Emphasize that both sides still have a lot of room in Regarding economic cooperation, the Prime Minister suggested that businesses and Qatar Investment Fund increase investment in Vietnam in areas of mutual interest such as oil and gas, infrastructure, agriculture, green technology seaports as well as emerging areas such as green technology, semiconductors, electric cars, etc. The two sides need to discuss and promote negotiations to sign cooperation documents on consular affairs, trade, investment, promote cooperation with localities and people-to-people exchanges, thereby creating a favorable legal corridor, deepening and diversifying bilateral relations.
Discussing international and regional issues of mutual concern, the Prime Minister shared the importance of resolving disputes by peaceful means on the basis of respect for international law, for peace, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world. At multilateral forums, the two countries need to continue to strengthen mutual support and consultation, promoting ASEAN-GCC cooperation.
For his part, Qatari Minister of State Soltan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi expressed his deep impression of Vietnam's rapid development and highly appreciated Vietnam's important role in the region. The Minister of State respectfully thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation and conveyed the regards of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar to the Prime Minister.
The Qatari Minister of State highly agreed with the Prime Minister's proposals and said that at the Political Consultation, the two sides discussed and proposed specific measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of politics-diplomacy, investment, trade, oil and gas, infrastructure development, agriculture, Halal, labor, culture, education-training and people-to-people exchange...
The Qatari State Secretary expressed his willingness to promote mutual support between the two countries at multilateral forums, especially in the context of many challenges and difficulties in the world. The Qatari State Secretary agreed with the Prime Minister on the important role of resolving conflicts by peaceful means, on the basis of international law, to promote cooperation, peace and stability in the region and the world, for the development and prosperity of the two countries.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi agreed that the two sides should soon organize the third meeting of the Joint Committee to review the overall situation and build a Vietnam-Qatar cooperation program in all areas of cooperation in the coming time.
