On New Year's Day, January 1, 2025, import-export and transit activities at border gates and crossings in Mong Cai City operated normally. This morning alone, more than 1,700 tons of import-export goods passed through border gates and crossings.
According to statistics from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, as of 10:00 a.m., there were 25 trucks carrying various imported goods with 137 tons passing through the temporary pontoon bridge opening at Km3+4 Hai Yen . There were 61 vehicles carrying 1,393 tons of export goods, including 880 tons of fruit; 470 tons of frozen seafood and 18 tons of fresh seafood.
At Bac Luan II border gate, there were 70 people leaving the country, 40 vehicles carrying more than 240 tons of frozen goods exported under pre-arranged customs clearance.
At Mong Cai international border gate, Bac Luan I customs clearance, the number of people entering and exiting the country remained the same as normal days with about 2,000 people in the morning.
Previously, through discussions with the Department of Commerce and Border Gate Management of Dongxing City (China) about the 2025 New Year holiday schedule of the functional forces of Dongxing City Border Gate, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board widely announced to the functional forces of Mong Cai International Border Gate and goods export enterprises and travel businesses.
Accordingly, at Mong Cai International Border Gate, Bac Luan I Bridge area and Km3+4 Hai Yen Pontoon Bridge Opening/Dong Hung Border Market Pair (China) still maintain normal operations.
The customs clearance flow for people entering and exiting the Bac Luan II bridge area still operates normally. The customs clearance flow for goods entering and exiting the Bac Luan II bridge area implements the pre-appointment customs clearance regime.
