Although the scale of each event is different, the common point is that associations, groups, individuals and organizations all have the same desire to help people in difficult circumstances with the motto: join hands for the poor, leave no one behind.
Help people according to your ability.
Once a week, members of the Provincial Charity Association organize a humanitarian activity to help the community.
According to Chairman of the Provincial Charity Association Nguyen Phu Cuong, there are activities that only give meals to freelance workers with a modest budget, but there are also humanitarian programs implemented by the unit with a value of hundreds of millions of VND. For example, on April 17, the unit gave 150 gifts, each worth 640 thousand VND, to people in Ma Da commune (Vinh Cuu district).
Previously, on April 14, the Provincial Charity Association donated 200 meals to inpatients and freelance workers. The association and the benefactors hope to help people reduce some of the difficulties in life.
From April 15 to 18 alone, the Provincial Red Cross Association organized 8 humanitarian programs with a total value of over 220 million VND to support wheelchairs for 50 disabled people, give gifts to 50 blind people, and support gifts for 57 inpatient children...
Similarly, on average, the provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) organizes 5 humanitarian activities per week. The district RCS alone implements one humanitarian program per day to complete the goal of Humanitarian Month 2025 (from March 1 to May 31); the RCS at all levels in the province mobilizes at least 15 billion VND to support over 60,000 humanitarian addresses.
Mr. Le Thanh Cong (a disabled person residing in Trang Dai ward, Bien Hoa city) said that he and other disabled people were very happy to receive a new wheelchair. This is not only a means of transportation, but also a “rice bowl” for disabled people to sell lottery tickets every day and travel to their workplace.
Also at this time, religious organizations and faith establishments carried out many activities to help people in need. In particular, the Board of Directors of That Phu Co Mieu Bien Hoa (Hiep Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City) and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presented 200 gifts (including 4 tons of rice and 200 boxes of instant noodles) to people in difficult circumstances in Phuoc Tan Ward.
Phuoc Quang Zen Monastery (in Phuoc Thai Commune, Long Thanh District) has mobilized over 110 million VND to support the poor and ethnic minorities in Dinh Quan and Vinh Cuu districts.
Connecting the power of community
Chairman of the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin Mai Van Nho said that in the first 3 months of 2025, the total value of activities to support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin carried out by the Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels in the province reached over 6.8 billion VND. This result exceeded the plan set for the whole year of 2025 by 1.3 billion VND.

According to Mr. Mai Van Nho, up to this point, the unit is waiting for the decision to merge according to regulations. However, the association's employees should not neglect the work of mobilizing, receiving and distributing resources to victims of Agent Orange. Currently, the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims at all levels in the province is speeding up the survey of families of Agent Orange victims who really need financial support to do business. After having specific data, the Association will proceed to provide non-refundable capital from community contributions.
Similarly, the Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province are also among the units preparing to merge. With time remaining before an official decision, the Red Cross Associations at all levels are accelerating the mobilization and allocation of resources to support the community during Humanitarian Month 2025.
Chairwoman of Vinh Cuu District Red Cross Society Do Thi Tuyet Hong said that mobilizing resources has been very difficult recently due to the general impact of the economy. However, Red Cross Society at all levels in the district still strives to connect every resource, no matter how small, to "make a storm out of a few", organizing humanitarian activities such as: giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances, supporting free eye surgery, cooking and distributing free meals for patients being treated in hospitals as well as freelance workers who are still facing many difficulties.
According to Venerable Thich Nguyen Thong, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Long Thanh District, from information about difficult cases in need of assistance provided by the Red Cross Associations at all levels and local authorities, the pagoda has been mobilizing monasteries and Buddhists to join hands to contribute to help the poor. With little money but a big heart, everyone joined hands to contribute their efforts and money to bring portions of rice and boxes of instant noodles to the people in need.
