FPT University 'supports' female technology students with STEM scholarships

Accordingly, each female candidate registering to study in one of the Information Technology majors of FPT University such as: Semiconductor Design, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Digital Automotive Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Digital Art Design, will receive a scholarship worth 20 million VND.

This is one of the actions demonstrating FPT University’s strong commitment to implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on promoting the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Through the STEM Female Scholarship, the school hopes to contribute to promoting gender equality, motivating female students who are passionate about technology, boldly pursuing challenging fields of study in the digital age, thereby nurturing more and more female technology talents to contribute to the country.

The STEM Female Scholarship is a commitment from FPT University in the journey with new-age female students to conquer information technology.

In fact, from FPT University, many female students have been trained, matured and made outstanding marks in the STEM field in Vietnam and around the world.

One of the typical examples is Nguyen Khanh Linh - a former student majoring in Software Engineering at FPT University, who is currently the first Vietnamese female engineer to become a Google Developer Expert (GDE), a member of the global network of technology experts selected by Google. Sharing with the press, Linh said that technology is not only a passion but also a tool to create positive values ​​for the community. She pursues the goal of developing AI systems that are humane, safe and truly useful. Khanh Linh's journey not only affirms the capacity of women in the field of technology, but also strongly inspires the generation of female students who are nurturing the dream of conquering the Information Technology industry - a journey that is against the wind but full of hope.

Nguyen Khanh Linh, a former student of FPT University, the first Vietnamese female GDE expert of Google, is an inspiration for girls to pursue their technology dreams.

Tran Thi Thu Hoai – a student of Course 15, majoring in Software Engineering, currently working in the field of artificial intelligence at FPT Corporation – shared: “ Up to now, I feel really satisfied with my decision to study at FPT University. The practical curriculum, dynamic environment and early access to businesses help me feel confident that I am on the right track .”

Hoai also believes that women can absolutely succeed in the technology field if they study and work in the right environment to develop their strengths: “ Technology is not as dry as I thought. In the FPT ecosystem, I see myself growing up every day – more confident, more capable and more ready for the future .”

Promoting STEM education is one of the important orientations of FPT University. Not only training in schools, in recent times, FPT University has also implemented many STEM programs in the community such as "STEM Education in AI Era - STEM Education in the era of artificial intelligence" to help high school teachers update technology and innovate methods in the digital age. In addition to STEM training programs for teachers, FPT University also organizes many activities to help high school students and university students improve their AI application skills.
