Hanoi: A bank's queue ticket generator on Bui Thi Xuan Street, Hai Ba Trung District, caused signal interference, paralyzing nearby smart car and motorbike locks.

On June 27, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong, Director of the Radio Frequency Center Region 1 (Radio Frequency Department, Ministry of Information and Communications), said that he had asked this bank to stop using the ticket dispenser placed in front of the door.

Previously, according to residents' feedback, many cars and motorbikes could not unlock their smart keys when parked on Bui Thi Xuan Street - behind the Central Eye Hospital. At first, many people suspected that the interference signal was coming from the hospital. The Center's inspection process showed that there was no interference on Saturdays and Sundays, but there was interference on weekdays.

Over the past week, the Regional Radio Frequency Center 1 has continuously detected many devices emitting interference signals that paralyze smart locks such as: water pump controllers, rolling doors, and LED electronic billboards.

According to the Radio Frequency Department, the common characteristics of these devices are unknown origin, poor quality, errors, and emitting large interference signals that make it difficult to unlock smart locks on nearby cars and motorbikes.
