Hon Chuoi Island has an area of about 7km2 , on the island there are 39 households with 124 people living. People live mainly by raising fish in cages and selling groceries.
The lives of the people here are still difficult due to the lack of electricity, roads, schools, stations and fresh water for daily use. Residents living on the island's coast have to move their houses twice a year along the rocky reefs, according to the wind season. Currently, there are three forces on the island: navy, lighthouse and border guards.
During the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station regularly coordinates with forces on the island to deploy campaigns such as: Let's clean the sea, Make the world cleaner, and carry out well the activities of Volunteer Saturday and Green Sunday.
In 2023 and 6 months of 2024, this unit deployed 115 sessions with 1,500 cadres, union members, and youth of all forces participating in campaigns launched by the Central Youth Union.
