According to Reuters news agency, northern and northeastern regions of China have experienced record cold. Some northeastern regions of the country recorded temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius due to cold air from the Arctic.

Beijing is also experiencing its longest cold spell in seven decades, recording its longest period of sub-zero temperatures since 1951. Consecutive lows were recorded at the Nanjiao weather observation station.

However, despite the cold weather, many tourists still dressed up in ancient costumes and flocked to the Forbidden City or the National Palace Museum in Beijing to take photos and visit.

Young tourists are not afraid to "show off their figure" and transform into "princess" of the past.

The Forbidden City of China (Forbidden City) is considered a palace complex, located in Dong Thanh, Beijing, China. The project has an area of over 720,000 square meters, built from 1406 to 1420. Surrounding the Forbidden City are royal temples and many large gardens.

Inside there is Zhongshan Park of over 50 acres, Jingshan Park of nearly 58 acres, and Beihai Park of 171 acres. The Palace Museum is located in the Forbidden City.

The museum's art collections include objects dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The collection was also expanded in the 20th century with new acquisitions, transfers from other museums, and new archaeological discoveries.

The Forbidden City stands out against the white snow with its red tiled roofs, walls and pillars. Many families also bring their children to the Forbidden City to play in the snow.
