(GLO)- In early March, the social network community shared the story of Nguyen Thu Nguyen (20 years old, from Gia Lai) who shaved off her long black hair that she had been growing for 2 years to donate her hair to cancer patients. Nguyen herself thought a lot before making this decision. Because cutting off beloved long hair is not an easy thing, especially for young people.

Immediately after seeing Nguyen's new image, many people asked: Did that girl have something happen in her life? But then, instead of explaining or paying attention to what many people think, Nguyen just felt very happy because she had done something meaningful. Not only confident with her current hair, Nguyen also plans to continue growing her hair to donate to cancer patients.

In fact, there are many people who, after experiencing life events, suddenly realize that there are things that are given away that last forever. So, they do not have to wait until they have a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of health to be ready. Instead, they choose things that are within their ability to give away with the meaning of spreading love.

A relative of mine, after witnessing her friend losing her hair due to cancer treatment, decided to learn more about hair donation and decided to cut off her long black hair that she loved so much to support. She also shared her friend's story with her two young daughters and a few close friends. Luckily, she received sympathy from them all. And then, the loving locks of hair from her friends and relatives were welcomed by her and respectfully sent to the Vietnam Breast Cancer Network. Her address also became a voluntary hair donation point to regularly send messages of love, adding motivation to help patients be more optimistic and courageous in fighting the terrible cancer.

In addition to hair donation, there are many other meaningful activities spread in the community by many individuals with kind hearts. Typically, Mr. Tran Vu - Chairman of Gia Lai Hot Blood Club is always on duty at Military Hospital 211 every Sunday morning to welcome and guide people to donate blood. Or Lieutenant Le Tuan Thanh - officer at the Provincial Police Detention Center spreads love through community-oriented projects such as: bookcases for children, hair donation for cancer patients...

Some people, after visiting their relatives in the hospital, saw the cold, unnutritious ready-made meals, so they volunteered to call on everyone to join hands to cook nutritious meals and porridge to give to the sick for free. And many people silently save their monthly expenses to raise piggy banks, then buy rice, fish sauce, instant noodles... to support families in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people with no place to rely on. They persistently give with a tolerant and compassionate heart. Simply, the joy and smiles of unfortunate lives have given them more motivation to continue their journey of charity, spreading love.

And when messages of love are spread and shared in the community with all our hearts, surely everyone's life will become better and more meaningful.
