Petroleum transportation is an essential activity in the petroleum business.

Vietnam National Petroleum Group owns 2 corporations operating in the field of petroleum transportation:

Petrolimex Water Transport Corporation (PGT), water transport business
Petrolimex Petroleum Services Corporation (PTC), road transport business.

In addition, the Group also owns the longest petroleum pipeline system in Vietnam with 570km stretching across all regions of the country. The waterway, road and pipeline transport system helps the Group to be proactive, ensuring smooth transportation of petroleum from abroad to Vietnam, from import warehouses to ports and sales agents nationwide. Waterway Transport Petrolimex Waterway Transport Corporation (PGT) was established during the restructuring process of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group under Decision No. 828/QD-TTg dated May 31, 2011 of the Prime Minister. PGT has forming factors that are member units with a long history and wide scope of operations throughout the domestic waterway network and international seas. PGT's charter capital as of December 31, 2020 is: VND 1,500 billion. PGT includes 05 subsidiaries operating in the fields of transportation, chartering and leasing of oil and oil tankers, service activities, marine engineering and port business. PGT's oil tanker fleet has a total tonnage of over 500,000 DWT, classified and certified by international classification organizations (DNV, ABS, NK, ...), complies with international conventions and regulations and achieves international certifications on International Safety (DOC and SMC), International Security (ISSC); is the largest product oil tanker fleet in Vietnam, including ocean-going and coastal vessels and river barges.

Road transport Road transport is one of the key areas serving the petroleum business, ensuring the smooth circulation of petroleum from the main port warehouse to member units as well as retail systems nationwide, helping the Group maintain its core activities well. Petrolimex Petroleum Services Corporation (PTC) was established under Decision No. 515/PLX-QD-HDQT dated September 20, 2017 and officially came into operation from October 1, 2017. PTC's charter capital as of December 31, 2020: VND 300 billion PTC has 06 member companies, operating in two main areas: petroleum trading and transportation business and continues to promote general business to take advantage of available facilities, create jobs and increase income for workers.
