Thousands of young people across the country actively join Fly To Sky to share the atmosphere and joy of Tet with children in border areas.
"Tet Passing Hands" is a campaign calling on the community to donate candies, melon seeds, jams, canned foods that are still in good condition, unused and within their expiry date (no fresh food accepted) to bring love to disadvantaged children, while minimizing food waste after Tet.
Valuable lesson about compassion
"Tet Passing Hands" is implemented by Fly To Sky Charity Group, under the coordination and sponsorship of the National Volunteer Center (Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) and the support and companionship of many clubs, teams, volunteer groups, organizations and individuals.

The Organizing Committee has arranged more than 40 direct receiving points in 12 provinces and cities including: Gia Lai, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Ha Nam, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Hai Phong, Binh Duong, Lam Dong, Quang Nam, Nam Dinh. In addition, there are also receiving points via post office announced on the Tet Chuyen Tay fanpage and the website flytoskycharity.vn. This is the 4th time "Tet Chuyen Tay" has been carried out. The campaign quickly attracted a large number of volunteers and supporters, most of whom are students.
Hong Phuc (left) is happy to contribute to this meaningful campaign.
Volunteer Nguyen Thuy Hang (from Gia Lai) learned about Tet through social media. The 20-year-old girl believes that there is nothing better than starting the new year with good deeds and passionately wants to do something for the less fortunate so that they can have a more fulfilling spring. "Thanks to volunteering for the campaign, I have many valuable experiences and lessons about compassion and the spirit of serving the community" - Hang said.
Nguyen Hong Phuc (student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy) was moved when contributing to the program. Phuc personally handed out boxes of cakes at the reception point - a place with a warm atmosphere and full of positive energy. Phuc confided: "Witnessing the volunteers busily arranging each gift respectfully, I believe that every sharing, no matter how small, is precious." The program helped Phuc realize that Tet is not only a reunion with relatives but also an opportunity to spread good things, bringing people closer together.
Meaningful gift
Every Tet holiday, many families have a surplus of candies, jams, and uneaten food. And these foods can continue to bring joy as gifts to children in border areas.
After receiving it, Fly To Sky carefully classified it to ensure its usability and form before dividing it into many parts and sending it to the "March Border Month" program scheduled to take place in March 2025.
For Linh Dan (left), "Tet Passing Hands" is a beautiful mark of youth.
Dinh Linh Dan (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) is one of the youngest volunteers. The student born in 2010 affirmed that "Tet Passing Hands" is an extremely memorable memory. For the first time contributing to a large-scale charity program, meeting many brothers and sisters and friends with the same goals, Dan accumulated more useful soft skills. Despite the large workload, constant travel, and sometimes having to stay up late to complete the task, Dan was not discouraged. "It is the enthusiasm of the volunteer team that motivates me" - Dan expressed.
Le Minh Chau (student of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province) hopes that "Tet Passing Hands" will be widely known. When Chau talked about the meaning of the program, parents and relatives were all impressed and brought fresh candies, jams, milk, etc. to the recipients. Chau said: "This is the first time and certainly not the last time we support the campaign. We feel lucky to be part of the message: Tet knows how to give - Joy stays!". Chau herself has enthusiastically become an "ambassador" to bring information about "Tet Passing Hands" to others.
"Tet Passing Hands" accepts contributions until March 2, 2025. Individuals who contribute to the campaign will be given a certificate of support as a token of gratitude.
