(NLDO) - The Southern Hydrometeorological Station said the weather in Ho Chi Minh City today is mainly cold in the early morning, cloudy and sunny during the day with a slight decrease in temperature.
Today, February 9, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces and cities in the South is mainly cloudy, sunny during the day, no rain at night; the early morning is chilly. The temperature has decreased slightly compared to previous days.
In the Southern region, the Northeast wind operates at level 2-3 with the lowest temperature from 20-24 degrees Celsius, in the East some places below 20 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature from 29-32 degrees Celsius, some places above 32 degrees Celsius.
In Ho Chi Minh City alone, the temperature is forecast to be at its lowest at 21 degrees Celsius and at its highest at 32 degrees Celsius. The UV index (ultraviolet rays) in all districts will reach high to very high levels (from 6-8) between nearly 9 a.m. and nearly 3 p.m.
Today, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City has a slight decrease in temperature.
Data from the AirVisual app, a reputable US air quality monitoring platform, shows that fine dust levels in Ho Chi Minh City regularly exceed health safety thresholds. This causes the sky to appear cloudy and is harmful to respiratory diseases.
Therefore, people need to proactively protect their bodies from ultraviolet rays such as wearing glasses, hats, wearing sun-protective clothing and limiting direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours and minimizing the effects of fine dust on health and the respiratory system.
Also today, the weather in the sea area from Ba Ria Vung Tau to Ca Mau (including the sea area of Ho Chi Minh City) has strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rain in some places; rough seas; waves 4-6 m high. Ships operating in the area face a high risk of tornadoes, strong winds and big waves.
