On the morning of November 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council coordinated with the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and related sectors to organize a conference to unify the content and program of the 7th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council is expected to review, discuss and comment on nearly 40 reports, proposals and draft resolutions of the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council committees and the sectors in the internal affairs sector submitted to the meeting. Among them, there are many important reports and proposals such as: Report on the socio-economic situation in 2023 and main goals and tasks in 2024; the implementation of the state budget revenue and expenditure estimates in 2023 and the allocation of the budget estimate in 2024; results of the implementation of the public investment plan and the national target program in 2023, the plan for 2024; report on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations at the 6th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council; proposal to approve the adjustment of the investment policy for the project to strengthen the provincial health system in Thai Binh in the period of 2020 - 2023; Proposal to issue a resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the "Land price adjustment coefficient in 2024"; Proposal to issue a resolution regulating policies to support tuition fees for vocational training at intermediate level, college level, high-quality training programs and support tuition fees for cultural studies for junior high school graduates to continue studying at intermediate level in Thai Binh province...

Also at the session, the Provincial People's Council will organize a vote of confidence for the person holding the position elected by the Provincial People's Council; conduct a question and answer session on issues of concern to voters and a number of other important contents.
Speaking at the conference, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee basically agreed with the proposed content and agenda of the session; highly appreciated the coordination and preparation of relevant units. They emphasized a number of different issues and the importance of this session, and at the same time requested that in the draft reports of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and units, it is necessary to supplement the general results of the half-term implementation of the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels; organize well the question and answer sessions, take a vote of confidence for the people holding positions elected by the Provincial People's Council; and at the same time, request to add a number of urgent reports and submissions to the proposed content and agenda of the session.
In his concluding remarks, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council accepted all the opinions of the delegates; emphasizing that this is a regular year-end meeting to consider and decide on many important contents, with a short preparation time. Before the meeting, a meeting will be held to resolve unexpected work to reduce the content load for the 7th meeting.
The comrade also agreed to add a report on the implementation of the construction of Thai Binh Economic Zone to the meeting content; agreed that the 7th meeting is expected to take place from December 5 to December 8, 2023; the meeting to resolve unexpected work is expected to take place at the end of November 2023 at the Provincial Convention Center.
He requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant sectors to prepare and promptly submit reports, submissions, and draft resolutions for the Provincial People's Council committees to conduct verification and actual supervision if necessary; the Provincial People's Council committees to actively verify documents to ensure progress and quality; the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to coordinate with relevant units to carefully prepare conditions to contribute to the successful organization of the two sessions.
