Stimulating domestic tourism to welcome the 30/4/15 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed and proposed localities to implement a domestic tourism stimulus program with the theme "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam - Vietnam I love" to welcome the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a document on implementing domestic tourism stimulus activities in 2024.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction to develop tourism comprehensively, quickly and sustainably with the motto "Unique products - Professional services - Convenient and simple procedures - Competitive prices - Clean and beautiful environment - Safe, civilized and friendly destinations"; In order to concretize the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in Directive No. 08/CT-TTg dated February 23, 2024, create consensus and high unanimity in the awareness and actions of the entire tourism industry, related sectors, localities, businesses and people, promote tourism development, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism orients and recommends localities to implement a domestic tourism stimulus program with the theme "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam - Vietnam I love" to welcome the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season. To successfully organize the above program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities direct authorities at all levels and specialized agencies to promptly implement the following contents:

Preside over and coordinate with agencies, organizations, businesses, and communities to launch the program "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam - Vietnam I love" in the area with specific contents, new tourism programs, product packages with good service quality to increase tourists' experience, diversify products and improve service quality.

Department of Tourism/Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Tourism Promotion Center organizes programs to introduce destinations and link tourism development; ensuring a safe, friendly and quality tourism environment.

Widely disseminate information about the operating hours of tourist areas, attractions, tourism products and services in the area to attract tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season; at the same time, develop and complete regulations and guidelines to ensure security, safety, a clean and civilized environment for tourism activities, tourists, workers and local communities.

Mobilize and encourage tourism-related businesses in the area to participate; guide, monitor and urge businesses to seriously implement service quality assurance when participating in stimulus programs.

The Department of Tourism and local authorities regularly inspect and control the quality of tourism services in general and of stimulus programs implemented in the area; compile statistics and report the results of stimulus program implementation to the People's Committees of provinces/cities and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) before January 15, 2025 to evaluate and draw lessons for subsequent activities and programs.
