On the afternoon of March 4, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a press conference to announce activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee co-chaired the press conference.
Speaking at the press conference, Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh said that the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province is of great significance, being a broad political activity of the entire Party and people in the province. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare and conduct activities carefully to ensure quality.
At the same time, Mr. Phan Thai Binh requested that departments, branches and localities be responsible for performing assigned tasks; have thorough plans and programs to deploy and direct effectively and qualitatively, create a vibrant atmosphere, and mobilize people to participate in response.
At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, said that the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam province will take place at 8:00 p.m. on March 24, at 24/3 Square, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province, with the participation of more than 1,000 delegates including: leaders of the Party, State, central agencies, representatives of generals who are natives of Quang Nam; provincial leaders through the periods and delegates from all walks of life of Quang Nam province.
“This celebration aims to review the glorious tradition of the Provincial Party Committee, introduce the great achievements in economy, culture - society, national defense, security, foreign affairs... that the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam have achieved after 50 years of liberation; encourage and motivate emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 23rd Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, promote the spirit of solidarity, dedication, aspiration to rise up, determination to build Quang Nam province to develop more and more”, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong added that the highlight of this celebration is the special art program and high-altitude fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.
In addition to the celebration program, there will also be events such as: Organizing the repair and upgrading of martyrs' cemeteries, historical sites, implementing policies for people with meritorious services: From January 2025 to March 2025, agencies, units, and localities will organize "gratitude" activities; organize visits and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, wounded soldiers, families with meritorious services to the revolution.
In addition, organize exhibitions and displays on the socio-economic achievements of Quang Nam province after 50 years of liberation; introduce typical products, OCOP products; Introduce the achievements of the armed forces of Quang Nam province; International Travel Conference - Quang Nam 2025 with the theme "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven Gate Heritage Route: Where nature and culture meet" held on March 8; Organize a series of thematic activities on the purpose, content, and methods of building a united, prosperous, and happy residential area; discussion, cultural, artistic, and sports activities in villages, residential groups, and residential areas in the province from February 2025 to March 2025.
