Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong speaks at the meeting
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that the 1st International Jazz Festival - Nha Trang 2024 will take place from April 27 to May 1, at April 2 Square and Thanh Nien Stadium. Up to now, the Hanoi Opera House has developed a script for 5 nights of performances, each night will have 4 art troupes performing. In particular, special attention is paid to the script for the opening night (April 27) and the closing night (May 1), which are expected to be broadcast live on Khanh Hoa Radio and Television; as well as rebroadcast on many television stations in provinces and cities in the country.
According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, each night, the audience will enjoy performances imbued with traditional cultural and artistic colors, combined with contemporary music. The opening night will have the theme The Spotlight of Jazz; the following nights will have the following themes: Living the legend, Latin night, The collection, Jazz flowers.
The 1st International Jazz Festival - Nha Trang 2024 will gather more than 200 singers, musicians, instrumentalists, dancers from the country and the world such as: Singers Tung Duong, Thu Minh, Noo Phuoc Thinh, My Linh, Phuong Vy, My Anh; musicians Hong Kien, Nguyen Hai Phong, Tran Manh Tuan; bands Anh em, Saigon Wind, The Phocal, Cool Cat Jazz, Jazz Glory, Bigband, light orchestra, string orchestra...
In particular, this is also a program that brings together famous international artists and bands from the US, Korea, and Singapore such as: Artist Lisa Sung and a band from Korea; Jazz legend Chico Freeman and a band from the US...

After listening to the opinions of the meeting participants, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu said that in order to organize the 1st International Jazz Festival - Nha Trang 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee have issued plans, so the relevant departments and branches also need to issue their own plans to effectively coordinate the organization.
The time from now until the program takes place is very short, so all relevant departments, branches, agencies and units need to urgently carry out the work content to ensure the success of the organization.
He proposed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism support provincial agencies in organizing the event; promptly provide programs and scripts for the shows to serve communication and promotion work on mass media and social networks.
The Department of Culture and Sports needs to urgently organize bidding for the implementation of the program for enterprises; coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee Office in welcoming delegates; organize the issuance of invitations and press cards. Other relevant agencies, based on the plan, carry out the work of ensuring security and order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, etc.
