Medical examination and treatment for Cambodian border residents

On November 25, the Dong Thap Border Guard Command coordinated with Viet Hong General Clinic (Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province) to organize medical examinations, provide free medicine and disseminate the law to people in two communes of Coroca and Sam Pua (Piem Cho district, Preyveng province, Cambodia).

Here, doctors and nurses examined and provided free medicine to nearly 700 people. In addition to initial diagnosis based on symptoms of some diseases, doctors also advised people on how to prevent common diseases and maintain personal hygiene in daily life.

Along with medical examination and free medicine distribution, Dong Thap Border Guard has combined visiting the living conditions and organizing propaganda, dissemination and legal education for Cambodian people. In particular, focusing on propaganda on preventing and combating illegal entry and exit, tricks of job brokers to force labor; preventing and combating Vietnamese people from illegally exiting to Cambodia to participate in social evils.

The medical examination has contributed to solving some of the difficulties of the Cambodian people in detecting, preventing and treating diseases; improving the health of the people of the neighboring country, so that they can continue to work and produce, and stabilize their lives. At the same time, it has strengthened the solidarity and friendship between the two peoples, especially the people of Dong Thap (Vietnam) - Prey Veng (Cambodia).

The work of examining, providing free medicine and giving gifts to people on the Cambodian border is an activity that demonstrates the affection, responsibility and loyalty of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in general and the Military Medical Department in particular in taking care of the health of the Cambodian people. This is also an opportunity for officers and doctors of the Military Medical Department to exchange and share with doctors of the Royal Cambodian Army to improve the professional qualifications of the military medical sector of the two armies. Thereby, contributing to fostering the solidarity, friendship and special cooperation between the armies and people of Vietnam and Cambodia to develop more and more sustainably. Thereby, the medical team and doctors will promote to the highest level their qualities, capacity and responsibility to examine accurately, provide specific and practical advice to take care of the health of people in the Cambodian border area./.
