Exploiting white sand exceeding capacity by nearly 20%, the enterprise was fined 300 million VND

Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh has just decided to impose administrative sanctions in the field of minerals against Quang Nam Mineral Industry Joint Stock Company (address: Ha Lam - Cho Duoc Industrial Cluster, Binh Phuc Commune, Thang Binh District, Quang Nam Province) with Mr. Pham Ngoc An as General Director.

According to the penalty decision, the above enterprise exploited the volume of white sand in 2022 at the Huong An white sand mine, Thang Binh district, exceeding the permitted exploitation capacity by 19.9%. Specifically, the volume of white sand that the company exploited and declared to pay tax in 2022 was 166,025 m3, equivalent to 215,832.5 tons, exceeding the permitted exploitation volume by 35,832.5 tons (permitted capacity of 180,000 tons/year).

For the act of exploiting white sand beyond the permitted capacity, Quang Nam Mineral Industry Joint Stock Company was fined 300 million VND.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requested Quang Nam Mineral Industry Joint Stock Company to strictly comply with the penalty decision within 10 days from the date of receipt of the penalty decision. After this deadline, if the company fails to comply, it will be forced to comply according to the provisions of law.
