Opening of the Ethnic Culture Festival and Bull Fighting Festival in Bao Lam District in 2025

On the evening of February 16, the People's Committee of Bao Lam district held the opening ceremony of the Ethnic Culture Festival and Bao Lam District Bull Fighting Festival 2025.

Attending the event were comrade Trinh Truong Huy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Police, a number of departments, branches and sectors; districts: Hoa An, Quang Hoa, Ha Lang Bao Lac and the City; Bac Me; Meo Vac (Ha Giang); Na Hang (Tuyen Quang); Pac Nam (Bac Kan); communes, towns and a large number of people in the district.

The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the delegations participating in the Festival.

The 2025 Bao Lam District Ethnic Culture Festival and Bullfighting Festival will take place from February 15 to 17, with the theme of preserving and promoting ethnic identities, equality and solidarity among ethnic groups, with the participation of artisans, actors and athletes from ethnic groups from 13 communes and towns in the district.

The festival includes many activities with rich and unique content such as: Mass art festival; performance of traditional national costumes; performance introducing festival excerpts, cultural rituals; exhibition introducing and promoting the beauty of local traditional culture; exhibition of culinary arts; folk games such as: pushing sticks, weeding, etc.

Along with organizing the Bullfighting Festival to preserve and develop the local U-cow and fighting bull breed, it is an opportunity for households to exchange and learn experiences in raising and developing herds and many other attractive activities contributing to introducing and promoting tourism, spreading traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups in Bao Lam district to people inside and outside the province.

Special performances were performed at the opening ceremony of the Festival.

Speaking at the opening of the Festival, Chairman of Bao Lam District People's Committee Ma Gia Hanh emphasized: In recent years, with the attention of the Party, State, all levels and sectors, the lives of ethnic minorities in Bao Lam district have changed a lot, their material and spiritual lives have been improved, ethnic minorities have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, loyalty to the Party, and strived to rise up with the Vietnamese ethnic community to build and develop the country and the district.

The organization of the Ethnic Culture Festival and the Bao Lam District Bullfighting Festival in 2025 is a cultural activity of practical significance, aiming to concretize the policies of the Party and State, demonstrating the attention and care of all levels and sectors for the spiritual life of ethnic people.

The festival is an opportunity for people to meet, exchange experiences in raising livestock, growing crops, and cultural and artistic exchanges between ethnic groups in the district; contributing to preserving, promoting and honoring cultural values, strengthening solidarity, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Thereby, promoting and introducing the beautiful, friendly and hospitable land and people of Cao Bang to friends near and far.
