(QNO) - This morning, May 13, in Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son District People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Bh'noong Traditional Cultural Festival. Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Ha and many delegates and troupes of actors and athletes attended.
The event was held on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Kham Duc - Ngoktavat victory (May 12, 1968 - May 12, 2023), towards the 75th anniversary of the founding of Phuoc Son District Party Committee (October 12, 1948 - October 12, 2023).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Do Hoai Xoan - Vice Chairman of Phuoc Son District People's Committee emphasized that the festival not only introduces, honors, promotes and develops the traditional cultural beauty of the nation associated with tourism development but also creates conditions for officials and people to participate in cultural and artistic activities to demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and development.
This is also an opportunity to discover and select outstanding artisans, actors, and athletes to continue training and prepare forces to participate in the 20th Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of mountainous districts of Quang Nam province in 2023 held in Phuoc Son district.
With the theme "Bh'noong Cultural Colors - New Meeting Place", the festival takes place over 3 days (May 12 - 14) with a series of unique cultural events to open up the community cultural space after a period of silence due to the pandemic.
Typical examples include the display of historical artifacts combined with typical products of the community; reenactment of traditional craft performances; culinary space; festival rituals of the Bh'noong people... with the participation of hundreds of artisans and local communities.
In addition, there will be a mass art festival; meetings with leaders and former leaders of the district through the periods; a parade in the center of Kham Duc town and sports competitions and folk games.
After the opening ceremony, visitors and delegates enjoyed the gong performance and dance program by Bh'noong artisans from 12 communes and towns in the district.
Many eye-catching mass art performances were performed, creating a vibrant atmosphere, rich in traditional cultural colors of the Bh'noong people in Phuoc Son.
"With many unique cultural activities, along with sports competitions, art festivals combined with performances and reenactments of traditional Bh'noong festival rituals, the festival is expected to create a fresh space, contributing to cultural preservation and tourism development," Mr. Xoan emphasized.
