More than 8 million visitors to Binh Dinh in 9 months of 2024

With the determination to make tourism a spearhead economic sector of the province, an impressive destination for domestic and international tourists, in 2024, the Department of Tourism proactively coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and localities to actively advise the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province to synchronously deploy many tasks and solutions to promote tourism development in the province and localities in the province.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Binh Dinh tourism industry continued to have a strong breakthrough. Tourism revenue and the number of tourists served by the province's tourism industry were both higher than the set target (welcoming over 8,097,160 visitors, an increase of 87.5% over the same period in 2023, reaching 147% of the 2024 plan; revenue reached VND 22,794.6 billion, an increase of 56.9% over the same period in 2023).

Binh Dinh tourism industry has a strong breakthrough in 2024.

The tourism space continues to expand, forming many new destinations attracting a large number of tourists. Cultural-tourism-sports festivals in some localities are maintained, upgraded and invested in larger scale: Dong Da Festival (Tay Son), Mai Vang Festival (An Nhon), Kite Festival, Lion-Unicorn-Dragon Festival, Street Festival (Quy Nhon), Fruit Festival (Hoai An), Cultural-Sports-Tourism Festival (An Lao), Dragon Boat Festival on Ha Thanh River (Dong Da Ward), Tourism Festival "The Blue Sea Calls - Seaweed Season" (Nhon Hai)...

In particular, this year, two more local tourism festivals have been formed: Hoai Nhon Tourism Festival "La Vuong - The Green Plateau Calls" and "Fishing Village" Tourism Festival (Nhon Ly). It can be said that these are great efforts of localities in investing, building and developing brands to make Binh Dinh a "Safe, friendly, attractive" destination and a key economic sector of the province in the period of 2020-2025.

That requires us to join hands to solve difficulties, maximize potential, promote green transformation for sustainable development, accelerate development, make tourism truly become a spearhead economic sector, creating momentum to promote the development of other sectors and fields, contributing significantly to the economic restructuring of the province.

At the conference, representatives of Quy Nhon city, districts in the province and representatives of business, accommodation and travel service units made proposals and solutions to promote and introduce Quy Nhon-Binh Dinh tourist destinations domestically and internationally, associated with digital transformation in tourism.

In particular, forming a series of events and festivals to create unique and different tourism products of national and international scale to increase the experience and attraction for tourists to Binh Dinh.
