On December 2, the Faculty of Environment (University of Sciences - Hue University) in collaboration with the Project "Hue - Plastic-reducing City in Central Vietnam" organized a drawing contest for students in Hue City with the theme "Protecting the environment, reducing plastic waste".
The project “Hue - Plastic-reducing city in Central Vietnam” is sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The Faculty of Environment (University of Sciences, Hue University) is the consulting unit to implement the school model program to reduce plastic waste in a number of schools in Hue City, with the goal of raising awareness of students and teachers about the impact of plastic waste through educational activities.
Through the preliminary rounds, today's drawing contest selected more than 70 students from 13 primary schools in Hue City to participate, including: Kim Long Primary School No. 1, Kim Long Primary School No. 2, Thuan Hoa 1 Primary School, Van An Primary School, Huong So Primary School, Huong Ho Primary School No. 1, Huong Ho Primary School No. 2, Phu Duong Primary School, Duong No Primary School, Phu Mau Primary School, Phu Thanh Primary School and Le Loi Primary School.
The students showed their talents through many creative and colorful strokes, creating beautiful and meaningful paintings, with love for the environment, reducing waste, especially plastic waste... in their own way. The beautiful works were selected by the Organizing Committee for awards.
According to the Organizing Committee, the innocent and naive drawings of the students have conveyed positive messages about the harmful effects of waste on the environment, about the pain of humans and animals when the environment is destroyed, and directed viewers to the message of environmental protection...
